Summer Night in Park to be this Saturday

Courtsey The Herald Leader

The first of four Summer Nights in the Park sponsored by the Development Authority of Ben Hill County and the Ben Hill County Revolving Loan Fund will be held Saturday, from 6-10 p.m. at the Blue and Gray Park.

THE EVENT will showcase the community’s small business owners and entrepreneurs as well as providing live music from local musicians.

Representatives from local, state and federal agencies are expected to be on hand to provide information to those interested in starting a small business.

The event is free to the public. For more information, call 457-7391.

SUMMER NIGHTS in the Park events are scheduled to take place at the Blue and Gray Park on four Saturdays — June 14, July 12, August 9 and September 6.

Summer Nights in the Park will also offer a setting for local entrepreneurs to make themselves more visible to the public, with the hope of creating more business for them.

“Our goal is to provide vital information that will then lead to a small business/entrepreneur workshop,” says Courtney Whitman, executive director of the development authority and revolving loan fund.

PARKING WILL be available at the Christian Kitchen for a small fee, with all proceeds going to the Christian Kitchen.
